Tracked ad links that report cleanly.
Paste your link, pick the network, name the campaign. Copy a link that shows up by name in your reports, with the campaign and ad IDs filled in by Meta, Google, TikTok or X.
Clicks stop at the app store. A LinkTrail link keeps the campaign through the install, so you see which ad brought every new user, next to the spend you import from the network.

Meta, Google and TikTok swap a placeholder for the real campaign, ad set and ad ID when someone taps. Typed IDs go stale the moment you duplicate an ad; placeholders don't.
The network adds its own click ID on every tap. Putting one in the link by hand pins every click to the same fake ID.
A referral code, a product ID, the page to open: they stay where they are. Only the tracking is added, and an old utm_source is replaced rather than sent twice.

These parameters tell your website where a visit came from. When the ad sends people to install an app, they don't survive the store. A LinkTrail link keeps the campaign through the install and reports each one by name.

Common questions.
Is my link sent anywhere?
No. The builder runs in your browser. Nothing you type is stored or sent to us.
Why add campaign and ad IDs to a LinkTrail link?
So LinkTrail can match each install to the ad that caused it, and report ad spend per campaign. Without the IDs you see clicks; with them you see which ad brought every new user.
What are Meta's dynamic URL parameters?
Placeholders like {{campaign.name}} that Meta replaces with the real value when someone taps the ad. They keep links accurate when you duplicate ads. Name placeholders keep the name the ad had when it was first published.
Which placeholders does Google Ads use?
ValueTrack parameters such as {campaignid}, {adgroupid} and {creative}. On any link the builder uses {keyword} for the ad set and {creative} for the creative; on a LinkTrail link it also adds {campaignid}, {adgroupid} and {creative} as the campaign, ad group and ad IDs. Google has no placeholder for the campaign name, so leave it blank to report by campaign ID.
What about TikTok and X?
TikTok uses __CAMPAIGN_ID__, __AID__ and friends. X doesn't fill in IDs, so the builder uses the names you type.
Can I use this with a normal website link?
Yes. Any web address works. You'll get clean tracking for your web analytics; the install tracking needs a LinkTrail link.
